On the afternoon of September 5th, the School of Electronics and Information convened a faculty meeting for the new semester. The meeting aimed to thoroughly convey and study the spirit of the university's summer strategic retreat and the new semester cadre meeting, while comprehensively deploying key tasks for the upcoming term. Chaired by Jun Hou, the School's Party Secretary, the meeting was attended by all faculty and staff members.

Jun Hou led the faculty and staff in a detailed study of the spirit conveyed at the university's retreat and cadre meeting. He emphasized that the conference has defined the action plan for the university's development over the next five years. All faculty and staff must fully implement the meeting's directives, diligently execute the university's strategic deployments, and unite in concerted effort. It is essential to align thoughts and actions with the university's "One, Ten, Hundred, Thousand" 15th Five-Year Plan objectives. Guided by the principles of "aspiring to progress, striving diligently, and fighting hard," the school must uphold a spirit of daring to compete and forge ahead, constantly pursuing excellence, advancing its standing, and enhancing the quality and efficiency of its work.

Dean Prof. Xunying Zhang provided a comprehensive review of the school's major achievements in the first half of the year relative to the new "One-Ten-Hundred-Thousand" objectives and elaborated on the key work plans for the second half. He reported on four key areas: discipline development, faculty team building, talent cultivation, and scientific research. Emphasizing the need to advance all college operations, he stressed the importance of adhering to a specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative development approach, as well as the work requirement of "strengthening characteristics and building peaks." This entails further elevating discipline development, intensifying efforts in talent recruitment and cultivation, enhancing the quality of chief engineer-type talent training, and boosting scientific research innovation capabilities.

At the meeting, Vice Dean Prof. Ruguai Yao and Deputy Party Secretary Min Gao delivered reports on graduate student training and student management, respectively, clarifying the key priorities and direction for the new semester.
